Traditional 8:30 and 10:50 (Sanctuary) Ignited 9:30 (Fellowship Hall) Healing Services each Third Sunday at 5:30 (Sanctuary) Worship
In worship we approach and then draw near to God with music, prayer, scripture reading and silence. When we draw near to God we are transformed, renewed, challenged and sent out to serve in the world. Worship changes us as we are encountered by God. All our services include uplifting music, a Bible-based message and times for prayer. On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate Holy Communion. All are welcome to join us at the communion table. Traditional or Contemporary? How we worship God has changed over the years. Today there are two common styles of worship. The first is the Traditional style that uses an organ as the primary instrument. The people sing from a hymnal and there is a printed order of worship. Traditional worship follows the seasons of the Christian year beginning with Advent, which is the season before Christmas, and concluding with Pentecost, which is the 50th day after Easter. Contemporary worship music features drums, keyboard and guitar. The music is less formal, and the service has a laid-back feel. In this service, you are encouraged to make yourself comfortable and let the Spirit lead you. This service is designed to be interactive. Either style of worship is OK with God as long as we bring ourselves with a desire to be in God's presence.
