Sonshine Singers

Children age 3 through grade 2 sing in the Sonshine Singers.  In addition to learning songs that teach us about and celebrate our faith, the Sonshine Singers gain musical knowledge and skill through creative teaching, using games, instruments, and activities.  The Sonshine Singers sing in church about once each month.  The Sonshine Singers and JOY Singers also present a Christmas musical each year.  Consult the Music Director to see if your child is ready for Sonshine Singers

Joy Singers

Children in grades 3 – 6 sing in JOY Singers.  In JOY Singers the children will continue to learn and grow as singers as well as Christians.  In addition to singing, the JOY Singers will have a mission project each semester.  Members of JOY Singers may earn a medal each semester through participation, memorization, and demonstration of music knowledge.  The JOY Singers sing in church about once each month.  Any child in grades 3-6 is invited to join JOY Singers.  The Sonshine Singers and JOY Singers practice at 5:00 on Wednesdays, and follow the LCISD calendar.

1   Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

2   Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3    Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

4    Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

5   Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6    Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
